The Android OS is based on the linux kernel and cannot run windows visual basic. You would need to rewrite this solution to something Android understands. File and folder access permissions set fully for user account AND admin account (Read Write Execute etc). VBS file runs fine by itself. Also, I can run it on demand when I schedule a task as Admin - but Task Scheduler still won't start it on schedule. I'm logged in as user when the user task refuses to run; logged as admin when the admin scheduled task doesn't run.
Now, when I tried to Run the user scheduled task on demand (and that permission box is checked in Task Sched. options), it opens up a 'Which program would you like to use to open this type of file?' dialog ... for a scheduled task!
Outside of Task Sched., it runs just fine.
The file name and path have no spaces.

The script downloads a web file and saves it as text to a permission-allowed folder, but its first action is to open a log file, so I know it never even gets started.
I tried replacing it with a batch file that simply opens and pauses; it too will run manually, but not as a scheduled task (although the user acct can demand a Run from the Task Scheduler).
I'm out of options here. Help?
